The Chief of Schools is responsible for ensuring that every school receives the guidance, support, and accountability needed to help students succeed.

The Chief of Schools provides leadership and oversight for all Polk County Public Schools.

Schools are organized into geographic regions to allow for focused support.

  • Elementary and middle schools (K–8) are assigned to regional teams.
  • High schools and alternative schools are supported through the High School Region.

Each region is led by a Regional Assistant Superintendent and a Senior Director, who work closely with school leaders to support strong instruction, effective operations, and positive learning environments.

The Chief of Schools also oversees the Office of Transformation, which focuses on supporting schools that need additional academic assistance. This office works in partnership with school leaders to strengthen teaching and learning and improve student outcomes.
