Polk County Public Schools has made the list of America’s Best Communities for Music Education.
The award, presented by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM), spotlights school districts and individual schools that provide “equitable access to music education for every student.”
Recipients are selected through a rigorous application and review process that evaluates key indicators including instructional time, participation rates and facilities, as well as district and community support. Applications are independently reviewed and verified by a research firm specializing in education and the arts.
NAMM’s Best Communities for Music Education program is now in its 27th year. More than 1,000 districts and schools — public, private and charter — received the award in 2026.
PCPS would like to thank our music teachers, fine arts staff and students for making this community so special!
