Polk County Public Schools is proud to partner with Musick Roofing on a special program providing eight new roofs to instructional and non-instructional staff chosen throughout the district!
Mike Musick, president of Musick Roofing, is passionate about the power of education. His father was a dedicated educator for more than 50 years. He knows the important role teachers and school staff serve in children’s lives, and how their compassion and hard work helps students reach their true potential.
Searching for a way to support local schools, Mr. Musick decided to offer the company’s roofing services free-of-charge to eight outstanding PCPS employees.
Musick Roofing will be recognizing these school-based staff members (instructional and non-instructional employees) by giving away a roof to ONE school-based staff member in each of the School Board regions AND one employee in a district department.
Here are some things to know before applying:
- All PCPS school and district personnel qualify for this giveaway.
- Each application will be reviewed by a panel of judges from the school district and Musick Roofing. All personal information will be removed for judging purposes.
- Your application must include a picture of the front and back of your house.
- The staff member will be chosen based on the their school and district location NOT their home address.
- The staff member must reside in Polk County.
- Renters do not qualify for this giveaway.
- The application deadline is Friday, Feb. 13, 2026 at midnight.
- If chosen as a finalist, your roof will be inspected by Musick Roofing.
- The winners are tentatively scheduled to be announced before Spring Break.
- If you are not selected as a winner a school district discount is available through Musick Roofing.
