About the Role

Our Community Partnership & Engagement team works to increase academic achievement by delivering direct, tailored support to individual schools and advocating for their success across the wider Polk County community.

Whether it’s forging partnerships, representing the district at community events, or acting as a liaison with local government, this team ensures schools are not only heard—but supported.


What We Do

The Community Partnership & Engagement team is responsible for:

  • Building Bridges: Developing long-range strategies to strengthen school-community relations.
  • Engaging Stakeholders: Collaborating with parents, residents, businesses, and local agencies to identify and implement school-level solutions.
  • Representing the District: Attending local events, meetings, and information sessions on behalf of Polk County Public Schools.
  • Creating Strategic Partnerships: Working with instructional staff to launch community initiatives that boost school resources and student support.
  • Coordinating Community Input: Serving as the central point of contact for community involvement and local agency feedback.
  • Informing Leadership: Providing regular updates to the Superintendent, School Board, and senior staff on local initiatives and partnerships.
