Four seniors from Harrison School for the Arts have won Arts for Life! scholarships this year.
Congratulations to Danielle Anderson (scholarship for visual art), Mireya Hernandez (music), Michael Irvin (music) and Cendall Williams (drama).
Each year, the Arts for Life! program awards $2,000 scholarships to 35 graduating high school seniors in Florida who demonstrate excellence in creative writing, dance, drama, music or visual art. The program was started in 1999 by former First Lady Columba Bush.
The four winners from Harrison were selected from more than 650 applicants by a panel of experts in each art form. This year’s recipients will be honored during a ceremony next month in Miami.
