Earlier this week we were delighted to celebrate Lake Alfred Elementary's Brittany Keller as a LifeChanger of the Year!
The award, presented by National Life Group, recognizes teachers who make a difference for their students by "exemplifying excellence, positive influence, and leadership."
Keller, who teaches fifth grade, was praised for her innovative classroom transformations (the exterior to her room is decorated like a mid-century modern home), and creating hands-on lessons that keep students engaged in learning.
Keller's teaching style emphasizes life skills, accountability and collaboration. She also has a talent for professional development, sharing her effective strategies with other educators.
If Keller seems familiar, it might be because she was featured on PCPS social media last year, as one of our Focused on Excellence winners.
