PCPS will conduct another lottery drawing for magnet school applications, and send out acceptances this Thursday, July 9.
NOTE: This lottery is only for existing magnet school applications for 2026-27, PCPS is not accepting new applications.
If your child’s application is accepted, you will receive an email with further instructions, as well as an alert in Parent Portal. Please make sure to follow the instructions closely if you receive an acceptance email.
Magnet school applications are selected via lottery. We will continue to process applications until all seats are filled for the 2026-27 school year.
Please note that your school choice status in Parent Portal will be temporarily disabled before the next lottery takes place on Thursday.
PCPS is also accepting Controlled Open Enrollment (COE) applications for the 2026-27 school year until Friday, July 31. Applications must be submitted online through Parent Portal.
COE is a statewide program that allows you to apply to any public school (excluding magnet schools) that still has seats open for next year. The list of eligible PCPS schools is posted at
