
Polk County Public Schools is starting the adoption process for new physical education instructional materials for secondary students in grades 9-12.
The district is looking for volunteers to serve as members of the Physical Education Instructional Materials Adoption Committee.
This committee will review potential instructional materials submitted by publishers before making a recommendation to the School Board for adoption. The instructional materials submitted will cover secondary curriculum for Personal Fitness (grades 9-12).
We are looking for parents, community members and PCPS employees who would like to be part of the Instructional Review Committee. The committee will hold a meeting on Thursday, Nov. 6, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Traviss Technical College, 3225 Winter Lake Road, Lakeland.
