What Is Transition Program

PCPS Transition Services help students who have met the requirements of graduation but have deferred their diploma in order to continue to receive services to help them gain employment skills.

These services can be provided to students until the school year they turn 22 years old, promoting independence, self-determination, and community integration.

Project 10: Transition Education Network

Project 10 is a discretionary project from the Florida Department of Education who is designated to assist Florida school districts and relevant stakeholders in building capacity to provide secondary transition services to students with disabilities in order to improve their academic success and post-school outcomes. Their website provides a wide variety of resources on transition and deferment.
